Dentistry Services We Offer

At Auburn Hills Family Dentistry, our mission is to provide excellent dental work in a comforting environment. Nobody looks forward to going to the dentist, and we understand the fear and hesitance that comes along with it.

That’s why we not only focus on making your dentist visits as comfortable as possible but why we also provide a wide range of dental services to our patients. We can handle the majority of your dental needs within our office, meaning you generally won’t have to go to multiple dentists to fix one problem.

If you’re ready to set up an appointment, don’t hesitate to reach out today!

Restorative Services

Restorative dental procedures are sometimes the most nerve-wracking for patients. Nevertheless, they’re also often the most important things to get taken care of quickly.

Fillings

If one or more of your teeth has begun to decay, it’s important that you get it filled as soon as possible. Untreated tooth decay can lead to more serious matters, such as when decay gets into a tooth’s nerve and blood supply, which requires a root canal or complete removal of the tooth.

Crown

If your decay has gotten very bad, your tooth has broken, or if you’ve had a root canal recently completed, then you need to restore the function of your tooth with a crown. After removing the decay and building up your tooth with resin, we then take a mold of your tooth and send it off to the lab to make a permanent crown.

Root Canal

Once a tooth’s pulp – that is, its nerve and blood supply – has been infected with decay, all of the decay, along with your nerve and the blood supply to the tooth, need to be removed. Once that’s complete, we seal off the canals and will then schedule a follow up for a crown to be placed over it.

Dentures

If your teeth have gotten old or beyond repair, dentures might be a great option for you. There are a variety of dentures to choose from, and we can discuss your options so that you can make an informed decision.

Implant

When a tooth and its root have been completely removed, a dental implant is a great option for many to replace the tooth.

Cleaning & Prevention

The best way to manage any dental problem is to do your best to keep it from coming about in the first place.

Prophylactic Cleaning

Regular cleanings are integral to keeping your teeth clean, white, and healthy. While regular brushing is a must, semi-regular cleanings at the dentist office do a much better job of removing hardened plaque and calculus that have built up over time that your toothbrush and floss can’t remove. We also provide fluoride treatments, which help strengthen your teeth while warding off decay.

Scaling & Root Planing

Often referred to as deep cleaning, scaling and root planing removes excessive plaque buildup. Oftentimes, this plaque can coincide with gum disease, meaning regular brushing and cleaning isn’t able to fully clean your teeth and remove build up.

Exams

When we do cleanings, we give you an overall exam, as well, to make sure we catch any problems as early as possible. Our exams include x-rays, examining your gums, an oral cancer screening, and checking for decay.

Cosmetic Services

Over time, most of our teeth will develop imperfections. Whether you’re looking to address teeth that are yellowing, cracked, crooked, or misshapen in any way, we’ve got a solution for you.

Veneers

If you’re looking to improve the overall look of your teeth, whether you’re dealing with chipped, crooked, or unevenly spaced teeth, veneers might be a fantastic option.

Teeth Whitening

One of the easiest ways to achieve a whiter smile is a home whitening kit. We can fit you for a tray and provide you with a whitening gel that you can use at home. Oftentimes, you start seeing great results after just a week. We can also perform a whitening procedure in-office that usually takes about two hours and will whiten your teeth significantly.

Bonding

Bonding is typically a short-term fix to broken or chipped teeth. We use the same material that we use for fillings, shaping it to improve the aesthetic of your teeth.

Bridges

If you’ve lost a tooth, a bridge might be your best solution for replacing it. Basically, we place crowns on the teeth next to where your tooth used to be that have an artificial tooth (or teeth) attached between them, filling the blank space.

Emergency Dentistry

Many of the procedures we do, particularly our restorative services, might warrant an emergency. That’s why we do our best to make sure that when you need us, we’re here. If you’re dealing with an infection, extreme pain, or a broken tooth, don’t hesitate to reach out any time.

Pediatric Services

We also provide pediatric dental services, which generally involves regular cleaning and exams. It’s very important for kids to get in the habit of taking care of their teeth and going to the dentist, and we make sure they feel comfortable and safe when in our office.
