Hello! I'm Dr. Josh Haycock.

Dacula Dentist

It is no secret that most people would rather spend their time outside of a dentist’s office. Surprisingly, for me, it was inside a dentist’s office that my interest in this profession first started. In high school, I spent a significant amount of time being treated by my family dentist. These treatments ranged anywhere from routine cleanings and fillings to tooth implants and root canals. This type of an experience would drive most away from such a career, but it only furthered my desire to help others who faced similar circumstances. I pride myself on making patients feel comfortable and giving them the best care available. My favorite part of dentistry is seeing patients happy with their smile.

I grew up in Northern California until I moved to Georgia at the age of 13. After high school, I headed to Utah, where I received my Bachelor’s in Biology from Brigham Young University before heading to Western University of Health Sciences for my Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry. I have been practicing dentistry ever since, and furthering my education. I’ve also become a member of both the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association in order to stay at the forefront of modern dentistry.

After graduating, I worked for several years as an associate dentist. It was a time in which I learned a lot about how to provide the best care to my patients. However, it didn’t take long for me to realize a few things. First, I wanted to spend the extra time with my patients to make them as comfortable as possible, and ensure that all of their questions about their treatment were answered. Basically, I wanted to be able to provide them with the care that I felt they deserved. The next thing I realized was that to make this happen, I was going to need to open my own practice. Since starting Auburn Hills Family Dentistry, I have surrounded myself with the best team imaginable, and we have been providing compassionate dental care to the community for the past few years.

One honor that I’m particularly proud of receiving since starting Auburn Hills Family Dentistry is the Ameritas VIP (Very Important Provider) Award for Outstanding Service. Receiving a patient-nominated decoration is especially rewarding. Knowing that my team and I have made an impact on the lives of those we care for is an incredible honor. I pride myself on making patients feel comfortable and giving them the best care available. I’ve always loved the hands-on aspects of my profession, as well as the artistic side of it, so seeing patients happy with their smiles, with their own personal work of functional art, is my favorite part of dentistry.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll probably find me outside, doing something physical. I love to hike, fish, mountainbike, play sports, and do CrossFit. I’m also incredibly interested in marine biology, so I spend a lot of my free time studying up on the latest news in the field.

Dr. Jack Hasenkopf

Dacula Dentist

Born and raised in Dacula, Georgia, I took a little detour to Richmond, Virginia for my formal dentistry training at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Earning my DDS degree wasn’t just about the books and labs. It was also about understanding the real stories behind every smile.

After finishing my studies in Richmond, returning to Dacula to practice was like coming full circle. Being a dentist is a privilege, but it’s an even greater honor and joy to give back to the community that’s been my home for so long. I get to catch up with old friends and make new ones, all while helping Dacula discover healthier smiles.

For me, dentistry isn’t just a job; it’s a way to positively impact people’s lives by promoting good oral health and boosting their confidence with a brighter smile. My passion for dentistry, coupled with my ongoing commitment to learning, drives me to provide caring and thorough dental care to every person I have the honor of treating.

When I’m not checking teeth or sharing dental advice, you’ll often find me chasing after my dog, Mabel, or giving attention to my cat, Sissy. And if I’m not doing that, I might be on the tennis court, working on my backswing. Feel free to drop by anytime, whether you want to chat about teeth or just life in general. Everybody’s got a story, and I’m all ears. Can’t wait to meet you and take care of your smile soon!

I came to Dr. Haycock with a mouth that needed a lot of work which meant many frequent dentist visits. Dentists have always made me a bit nervous so this was difficult for me. Dr. Haycock always demonstrates impressive amounts of patience when I get a bit anxious, and always makes sure I am as comfortable as possible!

Kailie

I have been impressed by the quality of service and special attention that my family has received from Dr. Haycock. I highly recommend this place for anyone that may have a fear of the "dreaded dentist chair" and is interested in being treated with kindness and compassion.

Healthgrades

As a professional actress and performer, having a bright and healthy smile is essential for my career. From cleanings to the occasional filling, Dr. Haycock has approached each procedure with detail and care. He is a great listener and always takes the time to understand my needs.

Ashley

When I first heard that I was going to need to get a root canal, I was absolutely terrified. When I got to the Dentist to get my root canal, I was shaking because I was so scared. However, Dr. Haycock was able to calm my worries and doubts and he even stayed late after the office closed to finish fixing it when he could've easily stopped and finished it later. He was very gentle with me and very kind. He was able to fix my anxiety about my root canal and my tooth!
